Words of wisdom for Mom Time TV mom's.

Who do we listen to about what our job is? For me the big thing is I had to work through creative memories. Or any kind of memory scrapbook. I’m not a crafty person. I just don’t like to do that and all my friends are doing that and I’m thinking my kids will be the only ones that don’t have a scrapbook.

Most days I’m in my pajamas all day doing laundry...again. Cause the laundry is never done. And I never get a shower.

I swept the floor the other day, there was more food on the floor than there was in my cupboard. That’s reality for me.

I find that when I get a job, it doesn’t take away anything else I had to do, I still have to do the laundry and provide the meals. No one ever takes anything away. Getting a job just adds more to my plate.

I implemented in my house if you cook you don’t have to clean. I thought that was brilliant. Well I have teenagers who all cook and so they don’t think they need to clean up their dishes and then I come home and I have all the dishes from all the different meals that everybody made. (Tara) That’s a great rule that came back to haunt you.

The thing that’s really hard are the unstated expectations. Well my mom always did this so you should....And my dad always did this so men should...

It would be so easy for me just to go make the beds. And it takes 10 times as long to get them to make the beds. But that’s my job. It’s not my job to make the bed, it’s my job to make them make the bed.
